Bill is married to his beautiful wife, Carol, imported from Tennessee and the widely applauded past Cardiac nurse manager and, new MD scientific nurse. Together, we have four great, smart children: Trae (23, a Navy submariner on the Rickover out of Norfolk), Will (past pres, Myers Park Traditional Elementary & major Duke fan, 13), Elliot (the fishing king of South Charlotte, mathematician and artist, 11), and Anna (the math wiz and daddy's girl, 8). We've got some great pets, too: Goldie (a perfect retriever), Harry (a farm cat), Molly (a house cat), and Walter (a predator cat) ... and, usually, some pond fish.

Bill is a Southern California native that moved here in 1990 after working at Baylor Medical School (Houston, Tx) and the James H. Quillen College of Medicine (Johnson City, TN).  The Martin family has resided in the Mountainbrook neighborhood of South Park since 1991.  There are many places the Martin family could live; there are not any they can think that would a better place to call home!
